The Staff Development Unit (SDU) of the Faculty of Computing and Technology continues to lead the way in fostering professional excellence among both academic and non-academic staff. In collaboration with the Staff Development Center of the University of Kelaniya, the SDU designs engaging programmes that inspire best practices in teaching, assessment, leadership, and workplace performance.

Recently, the SDU hosted the workshop “Empowering Non-Academic Staff in Social Sciences and Technology Faculties: Staff Development Programme for Professional and Personal Growth.” The programme explored vital themes such as organizational accountability, effective team communication, goal-oriented work culture, leadership development, and the role of employees in driving sustainability and institutional progress.
