Beach Cleanup

The Beach Cleanup Project held at Uswatakeyyawa Beach was a meaningful initiative focused on environmental conservation and public awareness. The Green Club of FCT partnered with CSS and the Center of Beach Cleanups Sri Lanka to unite passionate students and volunteers in the mission to restore and preserve the natural beauty of our coastal environment.

This project not only helped remove waste and plastic pollutants from the beach but also educated participants on the critical role we all play in protecting marine ecosystems.

Key Objectives:

• Reduce marine pollution

• Clean the beach area of harmful waste

• Raise awareness on plastic pollution and sustainability

• Empower students and youth to take environmental responsibility

• Local environmental advocates

Together, we made a visible difference and this is just the beginning.
