Global Entrepreneurship Week 2024
The Faculty of Computing and Technology proudly joined the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2024 celebrations in collaboration with ICTA Sri Lanka, marking an inspiring initiative to promote innovation and entrepreneurial thinking among students.
As part of this event, Ms. Sara Jamal delivered an engaging lecture titled “Entrepreneurship Essentials: Mastering Problem-Solving and Innovation” on 21st November 2024. The session, conducted for 1st-year and 3rd-year undergraduates, provided valuable insights into creative thinking, real-world problem-solving, and the mindset required to drive impactful innovation. Students were encouraged to think boldly, embrace challenges, and pursue ideas with confidence.
The faculty also extends its appreciation to Mr. Sachindra Samararathne, Associate Chief Digital Economy Officer at ICTA Sri Lanka, for gracing the event and sharing his expert perspectives on entrepreneurship and the digital economy.
This collaboration reflects the faculty’s commitment to equipping students with the knowledge, inspiration, and skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving global landscape.
