The Faculty of Computing and Technology has initiated a significant industry–academic collaboration with Brandix Lanka Pvt. Ltd., marking a strategic step forward in advancing research, innovation, and knowledge exchange.

An initial meeting was held to formally launch the partnership, bringing together senior representatives from both organizations. Brandix was represented by:

• Edga Melan – General Manager, Engineering & Sustainability / Teejay

• Mark Amarasena

From the Faculty of Computing and Technology, the Dean, Heads of Departments, and the Industry Interaction Cell for Computing and Technology (IICFCT) team participated in the discussion. The meeting focused on identifying joint research opportunities, exploring innovative project ideas, and outlining a roadmap for future collaboration.

This partnership combines the academic strengths of FCT with the extensive industry experience of Brandix, creating a platform that will offer students and researchers invaluable real-world exposure and contribute to impactful developments in the digital and manufacturing sectors.
